Description
Upgrade your 67-69 Camaro or Firebird with a Ridetech HQ Coil-Over Suspension System. Includes front and rear coilovers, upper and lower tubular A-arms, tall spindles, bolt-on 4-Link rear suspension, and a heavy-duty front sway bar. Compared to stock leaf springs, the 4-link and excellent monotube coil-overs will completely transform the ride quality of your first-gen F-body. It will also dramatically improve handling and traction. The links feature Ridetech r-joints which are noise free and have an extended service life compared to typical rod-ends. Up front, the tubular suspension modernizes your car’s suspension geometry for modern caster and camber characteristics. The result is improved handling and feedback at the steering wheel. Springs are sized for a mix of comfort and handling with a typical small block or LS.
With coil-overs, it’s super easy to swap springs for more aggressive handling and/or heavier vehicle specs such as a big block or supercharger. Coil-overs also make it easy to fine tune ride height. Simply adjust the threaded collars at each corner. Ridetech HQ series coil-overs feature rebound adjustment that helps you fine tune ride quality to your cars specs, your area’s road conditions and your preferences. Monotube shock valving is far superior to typical twin tube shocks offered by most competitors. The difference between monotube and twin tube is night and day. Ridetech’s excellent sway bear measures 1-1/8″ in diameter and features noise free end links and bushings with really slick mounts. The sway bar adds spring rate only when cornering. From experience, we don’t recommend a rear sway bar for first gen F-body cars.
All suspension arms — front and rear are designed to bolt to stock chassis mounting points where possible for easy installation. The upper cradle can be bolted or welded to the rear frame rails and upper axle mounts must be welded. Kilgore Kustoms can handle all welding and install the entire kit as needed.
