Description

Modernize your 1955-1957 Chevy with a Roadster Shop Spec Series Chassis.  The design allows for a true bolt-on installation. The only possible mods are for T-56 or 4L80E transmission clearance and/or mini-tubs). Kilgore Kustoms orders Roadster Shop SPEC chassis in configurations that result in exceptional handling and ride quality with an awesome stance.   We provide RS SV by Fox coilovers that help you fine-tune ride height. Kilgore Kustoms supplies a narrowed rear axle to accommodate wide rubber in conjunction with Roadster Shop’s SPEC rear frame rail width.  Your tri-five must be mini-tubbed to take full advantage of this feature.

55-57 SPEC Chassis Standard Features

• Standard drop
• RS exclusive “Laser Rails” precision CNC laser cut and contoured
• Crossmembers and chassis bracing allow clearance for 3″ exhaust
• No floor modifications are required for chassis installation
• Trans tunnel mods may be necessary for larger T-56 and 4L80 transmissions
• Utilizes factory body, bumper, and core support mounts for true bolt-on installation

• UPDATED: Roadster Shop Hub-type Spindle with Chevy 5×4.75” bolt pattern
• RS SV by Fox fixed-valve coilovers monotube
• Power rack & pinion steering
• Easy to adjust upper a-arm eccentric mounts for fast and accurate alignments

SPEC Rear Suspension:

• Parallel 4-Bar rear suspension
• RS SV by Fox fixed valve monotube coilovers
• Ford 9″ housing with 31 spline axles. Chevy 5 x 4.75” bolt pattern
• Rear Axle Width: Narrowed 54.5”
• Rear frame rails will accommodate up to a 345 tire (when mini-tubbed)
